Working out the going rate for a VA in Texas can be confusing, since rates can swing from remote virtual assistant cost $5 an hour all the way to $45, depending on the scope of work.
VAs in markets like the Philippines typically run in the $5-$15/hr range, U.S.-based assistants usually land between $15-$35/hr, and experienced executive assistants can run $25 to $45 an hour or more. What actually drives the price is where the VA is based and what you're asking them to do.
Something easy to overlook is whether you're hiring a freelancer directly or working with an agency. A freelancer often looks cheaper up front, but you take on the screening, training, and backup coverage yourself.
